"My artistic practice is heavily influenced by the concept of frequencies – the building blocks of the universe according to quantum physics. By delving into the mysterious realm of these vibrations, I seek to visually represent the hidden workings of the universe and shed light on the enigmatic laws that govern it. Through my work, I aim to encourage viewers to question their understanding of the world around them. By breaking through conventional constraints of traditional media, I hope to ignite a sense of curiosity in my audience, inviting them to delve deeper into the complexities of our existence. Through my art, I also hope to bridge the gap between science, art and technology, showcasing the beauty and interconnectedness of these seemingly disparate fields."

Sanja Star is a Croatian visual artist based in Berlin, working at the intersection of multimedia, digital art, performance, graphic design, and improvisation.
She has a background in fine arts and graphic design and through her practice offers reflections on the perception of reality – particularly in relation to the boundaries between physical and esoteric, human and alien, self and otherness and notions of time. Her work is a contemporary and playful mix of media and generative art, and 3D animation. Through vibrant color palettes, and abstract shapes, she explores and harnesses our perception of depth and movement. The focus of Star's work is on experimentation with visual media and transmedia, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach. By incorporating elements of quantum physics themes, sound frequencies, and pareidolia, Star investigates our relationship to the energies of the environment.
Star collaborates with musicians, whether in a concert setting or music videos and art films, calling her artistic involvement "sonic illustration" - a unique process of visual interpretation of sound frequencies in improvised environment. She has performed at the 60 Jahre FLUXUS Wiesbaden, Stop Over in Alte Münze, Containerklang 21 Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln, 31st Zagreb Music Biennale, 6th Silk Road International Art Festival Xi'an China, CTM Vorspiel Festival, LPM Festival Italy, Audioart Festival, Porgy & Bess Austria, Multiversal Festival Berlin, Hošek Contemporary, Kunstfabrik Schlot (…) with contemporary musicians Rieko Okuda, Ute Wassermann, Grgur Savic, Richard Scott, Samuel Hall, Tomomi Adachi, Isabel Rößler, Yorgos Dimitriadis, Emilio Gordoa, Marina Džukljev, Bojan Krhlanko, Chris Hill, Antti Virtaranta, Daniel Craig, Sofia Borges, Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, Sem Forma Fabiola and contemporary dancers Sveta Bird and Daniel Dragoescu.
From 2015 she took part in numerous group exhibitions in Croatia, Spain, Germany, Great Britain and Italy. In 2019, she illustrated and produced a few hundred postcards every month – and distributed them all over Berlin, for her personal year-long project Berliner Postcards. Postcards were free for Berliners and tourists.
She is part of audio-visual research and collaboration art project Pitch Shifting together with composer, soundist and improviser Grgur Savic.
